VSO's are Veterans Service Organizations. in this context. These are membership groups for US military Veterans, several of which allow and encourage non-Veteran associate memberships, that support the causes of Veterans plus endeavor to meet needs in the local community through various service projects.  If you are a Veteran, or wish to support Veterans and your community, we encourage you to contact one or more of the organizations.  Keep in mind you can do more for the organization, and your community, than each can do for you.  That is the nature and ultimate benefit of service... and its satisfaction.

Service Opportunities

VSO's do far more than just provide social interaction for Veterans and their families.  Their projects include both routine and on going types as well as impromptu and one time efforts.  They conduct and support patriotic events and programs and often provide educational opportunities for young and old alike.

Most VSO's with posts or chapter facilities offer great meals and activities that are open to the general public.  The funds raised from those that have charges are used to support the organization and it's efforts to serve the community in a variety of ways.

Meetings are usually held monthly at 8:30 AM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Saucy Q's BBQ at 1111 Government St. just west of Broad St.

Next Meeting:

Tuesday, Nov, 21, 8:30 am
